The Lagos State Police Command says it has arrested a man, who alongside his colleague, saw the police patrol team and took to their heels.
This was disclosed in a tweet by the Spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin on his handle on Thursday.
Hundeyin said, “At about 0900hrs yesterday, two young men took to their heels immediately they sighted the patrol team of Orile Division.”
According to him, “While one of them threw away his firearm and escaped, the other was arrested with a firearm, ammunition, an axe, and a machete.”
The police image maker said the command has commenced an investigation into the case.
“Investigation is ongoing,” he noted.
Meanwhile, Kanyi Daily reported that the Lagos police command recently arrested a lone scooter rider with a semi-automatic pistol and a round of live ammunition.
