The President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Akinwumi Adesina lost his mother, Eunice Adesina at the age of 92.
Adesina, who announced this in a tweet on his official Twitter handle on Thursday evening, said she passed away today.
He said he is blessed to have had her as his mother, recalling how she nursed him, cared for him, and brought him up, and said he is forever grateful.
He wrote, “My darling mother, Eunice O. Adesina passed away today at the age of 92. I am blessed you were my mother. You gave birth to me, nursed me, cared for and brought me up. I am forever grateful Mum. So long sweet Mum, greet Dad and sleep well. I love you. Your loving baby, Akins💕💕.”
