Popular skit maker, Mr. Macaroni has called out Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the “insecurity, oppression, brutality, and extrajudicial killings,” in the state.
Mr. Macaroni argued that these menaces worsened since Sanwo-Olu became governor.
He called out the governor in an apparent reaction to the Christmas day killing of a Lagos female lawyer, Bolanle Raheem in the Ajah area of the state.
An Assistant Police Superintendent, ASP, and two other officers have been arrested in Lagos for the killing.
Bolanle was reportedly shot dead in the company of her husband and other family members when they were returning from Christmas Day service on Sunday morning.
Some reports indicated that the police officers attached to the Ajiwe police station in Ajah had allegedly ordered the car conveying them to stop.
The police officers allegedly shot at the car and the bullet hit the lawyer.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, Mr. Macaroni, who has been critical about police misconduct, said although the Lagos governor does not control the police, but asked what he is doing about the security situation since he is the Chief Security Officer of the state.
He wrote, “Dear Governor BabaJide SanwoOlu, The level of Insecurity, oppression, brutality, and extrajudicial killings since you became Governor has worsened.
“You don’t control the police? Ok. But you are the Chief Security Officer of the state. What are you doing about it, sir?”
In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that the Oyo State Police command said it has arrested some members of the criminal syndicate responsible for the 28th October 2022 abduction along Lagos/Ibadan that led to the death of an officer and the abduction of another.
