The Oyo State Police command says it has arrested some members of the criminal syndicate responsible for the 28th October 2022 abduction along Lagos/Ibadan that led to the death of an officer and the abduction of another.
The command disclosed this in a tweet on its official handle alongside a blurred photo of the suspected criminals.
It also assured people of the state that it will not rest on its oars as commuters and other road users ply the route this festive season with the continuation of confidence-boosting patrols from the Ogun and Lagos commands of the force throughout the yuletide and beyond.
It wrote, “On Thursday 22/12/2022, the Oyo State Police Command in a coordinated Technical Intelligence Operation arrested some members of the Criminal syndicate responsible for the 28th October 2022 abduction along Lagos/Ibadan that led to the death of an Officer and abduction of other1/2
“The Command promises not to rest on its oars as Commuters & other road users ply the route this festive season with the continuation of confidence-boosting patrols from the Ogun and Lagos commands of the force throughout the yuletide and beyond.”
In other news, Kanyi Daily reported how operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, intercepted consignments of Colorado concealed in vehicles imported from Montreal, Canada, and packs of cannabis juice flown in from South Africa, meant for distribution ahead of the Christmas festive season.
The consignments were intercepted at the Tincan seaport, Apapa, and the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Ikeja, both in Lagos state.
