A former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to disengage himself from partisan politics and campaigns and concentrate on securing the country.
Sani stated this in a tweet on his official handle while reacting to a hint that the February general elections may be postponed or canceled as a result of insecurity.
Almost all parts of the country have been engulfed with security threats. These threats range from kidnapping, banditry, Boko haram, and armed robbery amongst others.
According to him, that hint that the elections might be postponed is a serious serious issue that demands urgent action.
He wrote, “The hint that Nigeria’s February National Elections May be postponed or canceled because of insecurity is a serious issue that demands urgent action.
“President Buhari should talk less, disengage himself from partisan politics & campaigns & concentrate on securing our country.”
