The Lagos State Police Command says it has arrested some Yoruba nation agitators.
The Spokesman of the command, Benjamin Hundeyin disclosed this in a tweet on his official Twitter handle on Sunday evening.
Hundeyin said the Yoruba nation agitators were arrested earlier on Sunday while they were setting up a camp at the Alausa area of the state.
According to him, the Yoruba nation agitators were planning to use the camp as a base to launch a massive protest.
He said the camp was dislodged, adding that the investigation is continuing at the SCID.
The police image maker maintained that lawlessness will not be tolerated.
His tweet reads, “Earlier today, a number of Yoruba Nation agitators commenced setting up camp at Alausa, planned to be used as a base to launch a massive protest.
“Camp was promptly dislodged while agitators were arrested. Investigation continues at SCID. Lawlessness WILL NOT be tolerated.”
