Nigerian Man Flees With Ankara Cloth Worth N250k, Fails To Pay Seller

A Nigerian man has allegedly fled into hiding after he bought Ankara cloth worth N250k on credit from a lady with a promise to pay her on January 30th, 2023.

Lady Calls Out Nigerian Man After He Fled With Her N250k Ankara Cloth

The Nigerian man, Hon. Joseph Mbanuwa Stephen, according to the lady, Asmau Hassan, bought the Ankara from her on January 25th.

She disclosed this in a tweet on her handle on Saturday as she raised an alarm and called out Stephen.

Asmau said Stephen has refused to pay back her money.

She disclosed he has also continued to ignore her calls and messages. She said he has also switched off his phone.

According to her, it was her first transaction with the buyer, whom she said she never knew before.

Asmau added that she initially asked for a deposit before the transaction, but that he promised to pay everything on January 30th.

She tagged the Nigerian Police Force in her tweet to help find Stephen so he pays her for the cloth.

Her tweet, “This man @agbarasa bought Ankara worth 250k from me In the 25Ih of January and promised to pay on the 30th of January and up till now he has refused to pay me back. He kept on ignoring my calls and messages.

“Twitter please do your thing so I can get back my money @PoliceNG

“This is our first transaction and when I kept calling for my money he stopped picking up and replying to my messages. He ended up switching off his phone

“I asked for a deposit but he promised to pay everything on the 30th.”
