2023 Presidency: Nigerians Must Demand A Re-election – Imam Of Peace

A Muslim influencer and reformist Imam, Mohammad Tawhidi, popularly known as Imam of Peace, has said Nigerians must demand re-election of the February 25th presidential election.

The presidential poll produced former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu as the winner of the keenly contested election, as announced by Nigeria’s electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Major opposition candidates, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) respectively have since rejected the outcome of the election, citing rigging and other forms of electoral malpractices. Videos and pictures from all sorts of electoral malpractice supposedly from the poll flooded social media.

Also, the majority of Nigerians have since rejected Tinubu as the president-elect, saying he was not the candidate they voted for.

There were allegations and reports of widespread rigging of the election by INEC to ensure that the former Lagos governor wins the polls.

Taking to his official Twitter handle on Sunday, Imam of Peace said Nigerians must demand re-election.

According to Imam of Peace, Nigeria’s elections were full of corruption.

He added that the international community should reject the results.

He wrote, “Nigerians must demand a re-election.”

“Nigeria’s elections were full of corruption. The international community should reject the results.”

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye has expressed optimism that the Labour Party (LP) will emerge victorious at the gubernatorial and state Houses of Assembly elections on March 11th, 2023.
