Former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani reacted to the defeat of the Super Eagles of Nigeria by Guinea-Bissau on Friday evening.

Nigeria lost the top spot in Group A of the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying series.

Jose Peseiro’s men lost 1-0 to Guinea-Bissau.

Mama Balde scored the only goal of the game in the first half.

With the win, Guinea-Bissau is now top with 7 points, while Nigeria has six points after three matches.

Taking to his official Twitter handle on Saturday, Shehu Sani, who has become a sort of social commentator, said the country should stop playing any international football tournament until after May 29th.

Shehu Sani said this is important for the peace and health of our hearts.

Sani argued that bad luck has become Nigeria’s only luck.

The former federal lawmaker wrote, “For the peace and health of our Hearts it’s better we stop playing any international football tournament until after May 29th.

“Bad luck  has become our only luck.”

May 29th is Nigeria’s official handover date. In this instance, President Muhammadu Buhari will hand over to Bola Tinubu who was elected as president in the February 25th presidential election.
