KanyiDaily recalls that Thaddeus Attah of the Labour Party (LP) was recently declared as the winner of the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.
Thaddeus Attah won with 24,075 votes to defeat Banky W of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who had 18,666 votes, and Babjide Obanikoro of the All Progressive Congress (APC), who had 16, 901 votes.
Taking to his Instagram page, Banky W shared a video of himself at a Sunday service, where he expressed utmost disappointment over his election loss.
In the video, Banky W revealed that he had made significant preparations in anticipation of his victory, including plans for a Sunday thanksgiving program, searching for an apartment and office in Abuja, and more.
The singer said that his faith in God has strengthened him despite his disappointment, stressing that it’s normal to feel hurt in such circumstances.
He added that he would still hold the previously scheduled Thanksgiving ceremony and that his electoral defeat would not stop him from expressing gratitude to God.
As he continued to preach the word of God and affirm that his story isn’t over, the church cheered Banky on.
Sharing the video, he wrote, “For anyone who’s ever suffered through a loss, a disappointment or a situation where things just didn’t work out the way you hoped… “Faith after a Fall” is for you. For me. For all of us. Please watch this and share if you feel compelled.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu claimed that Banky W lost his political bid because he is not a generous giver like Afrobeats singer, Davido.
