KanyiDaily recalls that Whitney was reported to have died on during the school’s inter-house sports activities at Agege Stadium, Lagos.
Following her death in February, Whitney‘s mother, Blessing Adeniran accused Chrisland of negligence over the death of her child.
But the school’s management said Whitney complained about “not-too-buoyant health” a few days before she died.
Chrisland also dismissed insinuations that there was foul play in the death case while citing that she slumped in public.
Since the school denied responsibility for the girl’s death, Whitney’s parents decided to find out what happened to their daughter through an autopsy.
On Wednesday, February 2, Whitney’s mother revealed in a video that an autopsy confirmed that her daughter died through electrocution.
Blessing Adeniran, who couldn’t control her tears in the live Instagram session, said she had been subjected to trauma since the death of her daughter.
The aggrieved mother said that Chrisland also contributed to the trauma for allegedly “pushing false narratives to protect their reputation.”
Tears flowed on Thursday when Whitney was buried in a ceremony attended by her family members and friends.
In a video circulating on social media, Blessing could be seen shedding tears while demanding to see her daughter.
KanyiDaily recalls that Lagos State Government had ordered the temporary closure of Chrisland School over Whitney Adeniran’s death.
