It was gathered that Blessing CEO was arrested over her involvement with a celebrity car dealer, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, better known as IVD Autos, who was accused of being the cause of the death of his late wife, Bimbo Ogbonna.
KanyiDaily had reported how Bimbo died in a hospital after getting into a scuffle with her husband and allegedly setting herself ablaze at their mansion in Lagos.
While Bimbo’s sister accused IVD of killing his wife, Blessing defiantly defended the car dealer and was even dragged to the police by the deceased’s family.
IVD was recently arraigned and charged with one count of involuntary manslaughter at the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja where he pleaded not guilty to the crime.
A video circulating on social media shows the moment the relationship coach was being escorted to a vehicle filled with armed policemen.
A source said Bimbo’s family invited the police to arrest Blessing whilst she was in the company of IVD because she has been avoiding all the court hearings for weeks.
“Blessing CEO ARRESTED: The story has it that the late Bimbo’s family came to pick her up this morning again whilst she was in the company of IVD, late Bimbo’s husband. she’s been avoiding all the court hearing and arrest so they had to come pick her up today,” the source said.
Blessing Okoro, who was also alleged to be in a relationship with IVD, was alleged to have started limping on sighting the officers, as could be seen in the video.
KanyiDaily recalls that Blessing CEO had recently reacted to the backlash she received amid rumours of dating IVD.
