We’re Sad, Upset But We Played A Good Game – Jose Peseiro Reacts To Super Eagles Loss To Guinea Bissau

Head Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Jose Peseiro reacted to the defeat of his team by Guinea-Bissau on Friday evening.

Nigeria lost the top spot in Group A of the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying series.

Jose Peseiro’s men lost 1-0 to Guinea-Bissau.

Mama Balde scored the only goal of the game in the first half.

With the win, Guinea-Bissau is now top with 7 points, while Nigeria has six points after three matches.

Taking to his official Twitter handle on Saturday afternoon, Peseiro said the team is sad and upset with the result of the match but added that the team played a good game.

According to him, the team attacked well and created many goal-scoring opportunities which unfortunately the team didn’t take.

Jose Peseiro promised that the team will repeat the performance in the return leg of the match in Guinea, assuring however, that the team will score this time around.

The Eagles coach noted that the team is going with all its commitment and sacrifice to win.

He wrote, “We are sad and upset with this bad result. But we played a good game, very attacking, and created many goalscoring opportunities that unfortunately we didn’t take.

“We want to repeat this performance in Guinea, but scoring. We are going with all our commitment and sacrifice to win.”

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani also reacted to the defeat of the Super Eagles of Nigeria by Guinea-Bissau on Friday evening.

Sani argued that bad luck has become Nigeria’s only luck.
