KanyiDaily recalls that Peter Obi revealed that he joined the Muslim faithful at the Central Mosque in Onitsha to celebrate and share in the joy of Eid el Fitr.
The former Anambra State Governor revealed that the Muslim community told him that he is the only politician who has kept the routine of visiting the Central Mosque and maintaining a close relationship with them.
The LP presidential candidate said he is very grateful for the fraternal and convivial moments he shared with the Muslim brothers, and especially for their kind words and prayers for a new Nigeria.
Obi donated foodstuffs and soft drinks to the Muslim faithful. He prayed for Allah to accept their sacrifices, supplications, almsgiving, and other good deeds as acts of Ibadah and reward them abundantly, here and hereafter.
Reacting on his Twitter page, Adamu Garba said that Obi has begun to see the complete failure of his alleged religious war plans by embracing Nigeria’s diversity.
He wrote, “On this one, Peter Obi has done the right thing. Eventually, he is beginning to see the complete failure of his alleged religious war plans by embracing our diversity. I can confidently admit him to 100 level class of politics 101.”
Adamu Garba made reference to Peter Obi’s leaked phone call to Bishop Davido Oyedepo, where he allegedly described the presidential election as a “religious war”.
