Buhari’s Aide, Bashir Ahmad Mocks Peter Obi Over His Arrest And Detention In UK

Bashir Ahmad, the Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital Communications, has mocked the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, over his detention in the United Kingdom.

KanyiDaily had reported how Peter Obi was detained and questioned for a duplication offense which suggests that someone has been impersonating him in London.

The Head of Obi-Datti Media Office, Diran Onifade, who made this known in a statement issued on Wednesday, said Peter Obi was harassed by London immigration officials and placed in detention where he spent the Easter holidays.

Onifade explained that Obi’s impostor may have all kinds of weighty crimes and other dubious acts that led to the harassment of the LP flagbearer who lived for over a decade in the UK.

He emphasized that since the impersonator is still at large, the scenario is unimaginable as Peter Obi could be implicated in a series of forbidden acts and even be framed in a manner that could be a huge embarrassment to him, his family, his party, the Obedient movement, and Nigeria, where he currently and remains the conscience of the people.

Reacting on his Twitter page, Bashir said the detention was unacceptable saying Peter Obi was treated like a common criminal in the UK.

He further pleaded with the UK government to explain to Nigerians the circumstances surrounding Obi’s arrest and numerous imposters.

Making a mockery of the situation, Bashir wondered if it was the real Peter Obi or a fake one that contested the February 25th election.

The presidential aide wrote: “A whole former presidential candidate treated like a common criminal, unacceptable. Haba.

“The UK should kindly tell us what they know about the numerous Peter Obis roaming around. His detention got me really disturbed.

“Was it the authentic Obi or the criminal Obi that contested and came 3rd in the February presidential election? I hope it wasn’t the criminal one oo!”

KanyiDaily recalls that Bashir Ahmad had previously described Peter Obi as a “Rocket-Propelled Grenade (RPG)” and thanked God that Nigeria dodged him in the presidential election.
