“She Was A Great Lady Who Defined An Era” – Buhari Reacts To Ladi Bako’s Death

President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the death of a former First Lady of Kano State, Hajiya Ladi Bako.

KanyiDaily had reported that Ladi Bako, wife of late Kano State Military Governor Audu Bako, died at Prime Specialist Hospital in Kano after a protracted illness.

Buhari, In a statement by a Senior Special Assistant to the President, Garba Shehu, said the deceased would be remembered for her faithfulness to the Kano community.

He joined family, friends and the government, and the people of both Kano and Jigawa states in mourning the death of Ladi Bako, who was one of the most powerful women in the political system during her time.

In a tribute, Buhari said: “The late Hajiya Ladi was a great lady. She defined an era, and will always be remembered for her faithfulness to her family and the Kano community. May Allah give courage and perseverance to those she left behind to bear this irreparable loss.”

Ladi Bako’s death comes two days after the former Governor of Abia State and current senator Orji Uzor Kalu lost his wife, Ifeoma Uzor Kalu in the United States.
