Three Suspects Arrested As Gunmen Kill Delta APC Chieftain, Sylvester Efeurhobo

Gunmen have killed a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sylvester Efeurhobo, in Delta State.

It was gathered that the APC chieftain was shot dead by the assailants who stormed his country home in Agbarho, Ughelli North Local Government Area of the State.

Sylvester Efeurhobo was said to be the chairman of a pro-APC Support Group, known as the Achievers Group, in Agbarho, and a dedicated party faithful.

APC members in the community have since called on security agencies, particularly the police, to “fish out the hooligans and ensure that justice takes its due course in the matter”.

“The perpetrators should be brought to book, as we do mourn the deceased”, the party leaders stated.

When contacted, the spokesman of Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe confirmed the arrest of the killers on Tuesday in Asaba.

He said that three persons have been nabbed in connection with the killing which occurred on Sunday at his country home in Agbarho town.

“Yes, it is confirmed, but I can not say whether he was a party man or not but we are still investigating, so far three suspects that have been arrested,” he said

KanyiDaily had also reported how a retired Immigration Officer, Jacob Agada was kidnapped and killed by suspected Gunmen in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
