“He Has Cooked For 7 Hours” – Liberian Chef Aims To Break Hilda Baci’s 100-Hour Cooking Record
Liberian chef, Wonyean Aloycious Gaye has taken on an ambitious culinary challenge, seeking to surpass the impressive record set by Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci.
KanyiDaily recalls that Hilda Baci recently broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time by an individual after smashing the previous record set by Chef Lata Tondon in Rewa, India in 2019.
The Akwa Ibom chef, who broke Tondon’s record of 87 hours and 45 minutes, cooked for 100 hours and 40 minutes to set a new world record as the first human on earth to spend such an amount of time cooking.
Although the Guinness World Record is yet to confirm Hilda Baci as the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon, her remarkable achievement has set a benchmark in the culinary world, inspiring other chefs to either break her record or take on the challenge.
According to a Twitter post shared by @Liberian Music Industry, a Liberian chef, Wonyean Aloycious Gaye has already spent 7 hours cooking as he strives to surpass Hilda’s record.
The post reads, “Famous Liberian chef Wonyean Aloycious Gaye says he’s ready to challenge the Nigerian lady, Hilda Baci. He has already gone 7 hours to catch up with Hilda. We can break her record.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Nigeria’s President-Elect, Bola Tinubu had congratulated Hilda Baci for breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time by an individual.
