Only Thing Buhari Did For Me Was Give An Award To AY Makun Over Basketmouth – Shade Ladipo

Media personality, Shade Ladipo has hailed the immediate past president, Muhammadu Buhari for giving an award to comedian, Ayo Makun over his colleague, Basketmouth.

KanyiDaily recalls that AY Makun was among the 339 noteworthy Nigerians who received the national honor of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) award from Buhari.

Following Buhari’s end of tenure today, May 29, Shade Ladipo took a dig at Basketmouth, who is known to have an ongoing feud with AY, reportedly stemming from a dispute over N30,000.

In a post shared on her Instagram story, the media personality said the only thing Buhari did for her was to choose AY for the award instead of Basketmouth, whom she referred to as ‘Uncle 30k’.

She wrote; “The only thing that Bubu did for me was to award AY over that Uncle 30k. Truly AY has been constantly undervalued.

“The other uncle has more pride than Elon Musk, meanwhile nothing dey him pocket. I hope the new smallie he’s carrying will finish his money so we can rest”.

KanyiDaily recalls that AY Makun revealed that his 17-year-old beef with Basketmouth started in 2016 over a sum of N30,000 not paid to him at the start of his career in the comedy industry.
