Police Arrest Boy Who Planned Own Kidnap With Friends And Demanded N2m From Parents

The Delta State Police Command has arrested a boy, Ade Segun who planned his own kidnap alongside two of his friends namely Precious and Nonso.

Spokesman of the state police command, Bright Edafe disclosed this in a terse statement posted on his official Twitter handle on Friday evening.

Edafe said Precious and Nonso, called Ade’s parents, and demanded the sum of #2,000,000 as ransom.

According to him, the parents reported at the police station in Warri, where a woman police played along, pretending to pay the ransom money.

The police image maker further disclosed that “when the undercover policemen got to the location, they laid ambush and one of them precious came to pick the money.

“He was rounded up and arrested. He took them to the hideout where Ade and his other friend were arrested and confessed that it was all planned.”

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke on the occasion of his 63rd birthday anniversary.

Adeleke will clock 63 years of age on Saturday, May 13, 2023.
