“I Told You To Keep The Pregnancy” – Sarkodie Replies Yvonne Nelson’s Abortion Claims

Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has denied the allegations made by actress Yvonne Nelson, stating that he impregnated her and convinced her to terminate the pregnancy.

KanyiDaily recalls that the actress recently published a book, titled “I am not Yvonne Nelson,” in which she delves into her life as an entertainer, shedding light on her past relationships within the industry.

In pages 88 to 95 of the book, Yvonne Nelson claimed that Sarkodie impregnated her while they were dating in 2010, but vehemently opposed keeping the child.

She narrated how she aborted the pregnancy because she is fatherless and did not expect to give birth to a child whose father had refused to accept responsibility.

Reacting to the allegations in a track titled “Try Me, Sarkodie dismissed Yvonne Nelson’s claims, stressing that he wasn’t the one that solely called for the abortion.

The rapper stated that he had actually urged her to keep the baby, despite not being prepared to be a father at that time, but she decided to have an abortion due to her academic commitments.

“I never thought I was going on this wave, cause I was ready to take a couple of things to my grave. First of all, let me clap for you baby, you are brave but you can’t pick and choose what to say pls behave, nobody sent you so Ohemaa if you want to talk, you have to tell the world every n*gga that you f*cked,” he rapped.

“I am not going to sit here and lie we had a thing, first I thought we were cool till I had a thing … You told me you were pregnant and I was the one to be blamed … yes I wasn’t ready but I told you to keep it and you explained that you have to complete your school”.

“To be honest, till date, I don’t believe it because I said my doctor should take care of you and you said you don’t need it. After the conversation, you sent me a text that a friend of yours said she had a doctor and he is the best. So don’t make it seem like I was the one pushing you for abortion because that’s the only part that made me angry,” Sarkodie said.

In the second verse, Sarkodie claimed that a few weeks ago, Yvonne Nelson attempted to set him up by requesting a private meeting. However, when he proposed meeting in a public place, she declined, stating that a bar would be too exposed.

The rapper expressed his suspicion that her invitation was merely an attempt to lure him back into her life.

Nobody is the cause of your bad choices in life, stop the personal attacks,” he sang.

First few hours your book is doing well. Who is really sure cos nobody can tell? So it’s not because the book is really good but we’re living in a world where negativity sells. I pray you get the healing that you need. Don’t be claiming good girl, you are for the streets.”

Sarkodie released the song on Wednesday, 28th June 2023 at 1:4am when he tweeted the link to the song uploaded on his YouTube channel.
