Deji Adeyanju Asks NSA To Arrest Asari Dokubo For Threatening Governor Sim Fubara

An activist, Deji Adeyanju has asked the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, to arrested a former militant leader, Asari Dokubo, over his threat against Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara.

In a video shared on Tuesday, July 25, Asari Dokubo expressed his discontent with Governor Fubara’s order to dismantle a militia group he had recently formed.

In a show of displeasure, Asari warned the governor that if he acts in a certain way, he will face dire consequences, even comparing it to the severity of the Boko Haram situation.

Asari Dokubo asserted that the governor holds no special authority and is merely an ordinary man like himself.

While speaking to his supporters, Asari said if the governor ‘’does anyhow, he will see anyhow”, adding that ‘’Boko Haram will be child’s play”.

In response to Asari’s threatening comments, Deji Adeyanju wrote a petition addressed to NSA Nuhu Ribadu, stressing that such remarks should not go unpunished.

The activist called for the immediate arrest of Asari Dokubo, citing the threat to national security and blatant disregard for the rule of law.

He wrote, “I have just personally submitted a petition to the NSA calling for the arrest of Dokubo Asari over threat to Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara.

“One nation with two separate laws: one for Emefiele who was arraigned for possession of a licensed short gun & another for Dokubo.”

KanyiDaily recalls that Asari Dokubo recently pledged his support for President Bola Tinubu and vowed to eliminate the president’s adversaries.
