The command said this is because it was aware that some people were lured into cultism with knowing the implication and as a result, they got trapped.
This was disclosed in a short statement issued on its official Twitter handle on Thursday afternoon.
The statement called on any cult member who wants to renounce the any cult group to call 09159578888.
It added that, “and if they are not bold enough to, they can confined in their parent/guardian to do so. To be forewarned is to be forearmed.”
The command also announced the arrest of a 21-year-old cultist, Saka Olawale.
The statement said Saka was apprehended while planning to unleash terror in the Ogijo area of Ogun State.
“Upon interrogation, he has confessed being a member of the dreaded Aiye confraternity. He would be charged in court as soon as investigation in completed,” the statement reads.
This is coming less than 24-hours after the command asked the public for suggestions on how to eradicate cultism in the state.
