Sokoto APC Chairman’s Son And Friend Die In Car Accident After Final Exams [Photos]

Anas Isa Sadiq Achida, the 25-year-old son of Isa Sadiq Achida, the chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Sokoto State, has died in a fatal car accident while returning from school.

It was gathered that the heartbreaking incident occurred on Saturday when Anas was making his way back to Sokoto after successfully completing his undergraduate studies in civil engineering at Lead City University Ibadan.

The accident also claimed the life of Anas’s close friend, Umar Muhammed, aged 22, who was a 300-level student of Public Health at Lead University Ibadan.

Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, attended the funeral prayer of Anas Isa Sadiq Achida to express his condolences to the grieving family.

He characterized Anas as a humble, brilliant, and dedicated young man. He extended his prayers to Allah, asking for acceptance of Anas’s good deeds and forgiveness for any mistakes he may have made.

The governor urged the bereaved family to view Anas’s passing as an act of God and encouraged them to pray for the repose of his soul.

The funeral was conducted in accordance with Islamic rites, with Malam Bashir Gidan Kanawa leading a special prayer seeking divine mercy and forgiveness for the departed.

The ceremony was attended by dignitaries including the Speaker and members of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, as well as government officials, party leaders, politicians, and many others.

Governor Ahmed Aliyu also offered his condolences to the family of Umar Muhammed, who also lost his life in the same accident.

The Governor’s Chief of Staff, Aminu Haliru Dikko, represented him during the condolence visit in Wamakko local Government.

He described Umar Muhammed’s death as unfortunate and prayed for Allah’s forgiveness and strength for the grieving family.

The Chief of Staff was accompanied by Malam Bashir Gidan Kanawa and Faruk Labbo, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Domestic Affairs, during the visit.

A special prayer was led by Malam Bashir Gidan Kanawa to rest the souls of the departed, including Anas Isa Sadiq Achida and Umar Muhammed.

KanyiDaily had also reported how Bauchi chief accountant, Yakubu Shehu Sakwaa, and his two sons lost their lives in a devastating car accident along the Azare/Sakwaa road in Zaki LGA of Bauchi State.
