D’Tigress move up seven places in new FIBA rankings

D’Tigress of Nigeria climbed seven spots in the current International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Women’s Rankings.


FIBA revealed the latest rankings on Wednesday night.

The growth of Nigeria’s women’s basketball team was fueled by their outstanding performance at the 2023 AfroBasket Championship.

Rena Wakama’s team won the competition for the fourth time in a row.

D’Tigress improved from 18th to 11th position in the ranking, collecting 528.9 points.

The other African teams in the top 20 are Mali and Senegal.
