Daniel Martin, Meghan Markle’s makeup artist, has disclosed that he just had plastic surgery to remove fat from his ‘puffy’ eyelids as a 50th birthday present to himself.
The beauty expert, who is close to the Duchess of Sussex, confessed on Instagram that he had plastic surgery to remove fat from his ‘puffy’ eyes in an effort to offset the symptoms of aging.
Martin revealed that he gave himself the procedure in honor of his forthcoming 50th birthday, while also discussing his efforts to eliminate the stigma associated with males who seek plastic surgery.
‘Happy Birthday,’ I say.’I’m undergoing plastic surgery,’ he captioned the post, which detailed his preparation for the procedure and saw him explain why he decided to undergo the treatment.
Martin disclosed in a follow-up post on his Instagram Stories that he has already had the surgery and that he is recuperating ‘amazing well,’ and that he is anxious to share his journey and the results shortly.
Martin went into greater detail regarding the process, explaining that there is a stigma associated with guys receiving plastic surgery, regardless of whether they are ‘gays, straights, or whatever,’ so he felt the need to be honest with his followers.
‘I’m going to be really honest with you; I’m turning 50 years old right now [and] I’m kind of freaking out.’
