Babatunde Falade, the team doctor for Shooting Stars, accused Lawal of fraudulent practises.
The former Super Eagles player made the clarification during a press conference at the club’s headquarters in Ibadan.
Lawal stated that all of the accusations brought against him and the administration as a whole were absolutely unjustified and false.
He claimed it was an intentional attempt to blackmail his club reputation.

“All the allegations are false and baseless, it’s just a ploy to distract the team’s preparation for the new Nigeria Premier Football League season,” he told the club’s media.
“Even when we go outside the state for matches, I do buy jerseys to take along because people do ask for our jerseys and it is part of PR.”
