Nigerian singer, Habeeb Olawunmi, popularly known as Portable, has taken to social media to advice his fellow entertainers in the industry to “reduce the volume of their fake lives.”
In a video shared on his Instagram page, Portable warned that some celebrities may be buried inside gutter or end up without proper burial places because they failed to invest in real estate during their lifetime.
The controversial singer acknowledged that he has faced criticism for building houses in less glamorous areas but emphasized that he possesses multiple properties, including those in the trenches and land in the Ajah area.
Portable, who also revealed that he is in the process of purchasing another property, expressed his frustration with entertainers who prioritize living fake lifestyles over investing in tangible assets like properties.
He emphasized the importance of securing a stable future through wise investments, highlighting the potential consequences of not doing so.
The music star emphasized that when celebrities living fake lives pass away, their families may struggle to find suitable burial sites.
He concluded by advising his colleagues to reduce the volume of their fake lives so that they would find help and stop misleading their supporters.
Portable said, “They have been insulting me that I built a house in the trenches. You know how many houses I have in the trenches? Different kinds of mansions, like ten. It is not all of my properties that you guys will know. Even in the Lekki-Ajah side, I have bought a land and I am building a house. I am even paying for a house near Osapa-London. I have so many things.
“Some don’t have a house. Don’t worry. Be lying. Reduce the volume of your fake life so your helper doesn’t start calling you a mentor. Some people it is inside the gutter that they will be buried. Be doing fake life. If you die, you don’t have a house, you have nothing.”
Sharing the video, he wrote: “IKA Talk IKA Understand 👌 Reduce the volume of your fake life make your helper no con dey call you mentor….This life just try to be real ☝️”
