Veteran set designer, Pat Nebo is dead

Pat Nebo, an award-winning Nigerian set designer and art director, has died.

Pat Nebo died on Thursday after a long illness that had rendered him bedridden.

Shaibu Husseini, a movie journalist and member of the African Movie Academy Awards jury, announced the news on Thursday in a post on his official X.

“I have been reliably informed that foremost Nigerian Production Designer Pat Nebo has passed on,” Shaibu said with the deceased image.

“He’s been bedridden for quite some time. “Congratulations on becoming a master of the craft of film production design.”

Nebo began his career as a production designer in ‘Ti Oluwa Nile’ in 1993.
