Kaduna State, which is located in northern Nigeria has been a mother to several top Nigerian celebrities. These celebrities have made Nigerians proud in their endeavors.

Below are six celebrities you never knew were shaped by Kaduna State.


Di’Ja


Hadiza Blell is a Sierra Leonean-Nigerian singer, composer, and visual artist who goes by the stage names Di’Ja or Aphrodija. She started her profession in Canada before going to Nigeria in 2008. She is officially signed to Mavin Records and has recorded several incredible songs, including Awww, which has received a lot of favorable feedback from Nigerians.

Di’Ja was born and raised in Kaduna, Nigeria, before relocating to Canada to complete her studies. Di’Ja dedicated herself to studies in her early years, earning another double degree in Biology and Psychology. She credited her love of music to her parents’ collection of old CDs, particularly her mother. Her major music career began when a friend, Aman Manhas, entered her in a Canadian singing competition.

 

Joe El


Joel Amadi, better known as Joe El, was born on March 23rd. He is a Kennis Music-signed Nigerian afrobeats singer, songwriter, and performer. He was born in Sokoto, Sokoto State, to the Amadi Didam family. He, on the other hand, born and raised in Kano State. His mother was from Otukpa, Benue State, while his father was from Zikpak, Kafanchan, southern Kaduna State.

Joe El had his early school at Ramat Nursery and Primary School, as well as Army Day Secondary School, Bukavo Barracks, Kano State, where he graduated and decided to continue his education at the Kaduna State College of Education. He earned a diploma in accounting and auditing from Kafanchan, which is associated with the University of Jos, in 2005. His musical career began in 2006, when he competed in the Star Quest singing competition, which was his first appearance on television. He relocated to Lagos in 2009, hoping for better opportunities.


Binta Sukai


Binta Sukai is a stunning and attractive lady who was the first woman from the north to win ”Miss Nigeria” in 1990. Binta Sukai’s father is from the Ham tribe in Southern Kaduna, and her lovely mother is from Scotland.

Binta Sukai was born to a Fulani father and a Scottish mother, but her parents divorced when she was a baby, and her grandmother who looked after her. Binta Sukai earned a degree in Fashion and History from the Paris Academy of Fashion, a famous university in the world.


Celestine Babayaro


Celestine Hycieth Babayaro (born August 29, 1978 in Kaduna) is a former Nigerian footballer who primarily played as a defender or midfielder. Babayaro began his career with Nigerian club Plateau United before joining to Belgian club Anderlecht in 1994, where he immediately established himself as a first-choice player while still being a youngster.

Babayaro set the record as the youngest player to participate in the UEFA Champions League and receive a red card. At the age of 16 years and 86 days, he was sent off in a match between Steaua Bucuresti and his club Anderlecht (1–1). Celestine is largely recognized as the best Nigerian fullback to have ever lived.

Rahama Sadau

Rahama Sadau is a Nigerian actress, filmmaker, and singer. Born and raised in Kaduna, she performed in dancing competitions as a child and during her school years. She rose to fame in late 2013 after joining the Kannywood movie industry with her first movie Gani ga Wane.

She has featured in movies like The Plan, Chief Daddy, Up North, A lot Like Love and Going For Broke.

 

Audu Maikori

Audu Maikori is a Nigerian lawyer, entrepreneur, social activist, public speaker and creative industry expert. He is the co-founder and Executive Vice Chairman of the Chocolate City Group the mother company of leading African record label Chocolate City Entertainment.
