At a rally in front of the CAC headquarters in Abuja on Monday morning, the workers described Abubakar as a “tyrant leader”. The workers appreciated President Bola Tinubu for appointing Hussaini Sani (SAN) as the new registrar for the commission.
They stated that Garba Abubakar didn’t do well for them during his years of service. They mentioned among other things that he ran a one-man show and didn’t approve promotion of those that are due for it.
The workers expressed their gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for appointing a new Registrar for the Commission.
They emphasized the need for the new leader to avoid continuing the anti-labour policies of the previous administration.
These CAC employees, who are members of AUPTRE, an affiliate of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), also offered prayers for the new Chief Executive and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Hussaini Sani.
Anyone who knows Nigerian civil servants knows that they are worse than our corrupt politicians. Since Garba became the registrar, he streamlined a lot of CAC activities, making company and business name registration easy and cheaper for Nigerians.
Garba Abubakar made the CAC process fully automated. He cut off the middlemen and made it impossible to overly queue for confirmation and certificate.
He also made business registration cheap and very importantly, you can apply to register a business name from the comfort of your home, incorporate a company, file annual returns and do basically all your post-incorporation activities on the CAC portal without needing to visit the CAC office. That alone is enough to hate the man cos he essentially cut off all avenues for them to hijack and steal from Nigerians.
Kanyi Daily cannot independently verify if Garba was really a tyrant, however, do not believe the civil servants because they are also evil.
In other news, workers of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) have shut down the head office of the service in Abuja, protesting the appointment of Tola Odeyemi as Chief Executive Officer/Postmaster-General.
