Happie Boys Reportedly Deported Back To Nigeria From Cyprus

Former security guards, Happie Boys have been reportedly deported to Nigeria after a year of being sent on scholarship to Cyprus by popular clergyman, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere.

KanyiDaily recalls that Happie Boys gained attention on social media in June when they called out Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere who had sponsored their education in Cyprus.

The duo, Matthew Precious Kelechi, and Amakor Johnson criticized the clergyman for ending their scholarship six months after their arrival in Cyprus and abandoning them in the foreign country.

In his defense, Apostle Chibuzor explained that he stopped sending them money due to the scarcity of dollars in Nigeria and suggested that the boys return to Nigeria or Benin Republic to continue their education.

However, Happie Boys declined the offer and expressed their preference to remain in Cyprus. They also taunted the clergyman for telling them that he had paid for their return tickets to Nigeria.

In October, Happie Boys were arrested and arraigned before a court in Cyprus for an unspecified crime and remanded in an underground prison by the court.

Investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo confirmed that the former security guys who worked at the Chicken Republic in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, were arrested for issues involving internet fraud, drugs, and immigration status in Cyrus.

It was gathered that the boys had been imprisoned in Cyprus, prompting Apostle Chinyere Chibuzor to deploy his legal team to secure their release.

The latest development indicateed that Happie Boys have been successfully repatriated to Nigeria and are currently residing in the capital city of Abuja.

A netizen shared the news of their deportation, stating that Happie Boys landed in Nigeria on Monday night, October 30, and are currently staying in a hotel in Utako, Abuja.

News of their return has sparked discussions and curiosity on social media platforms, with many who have followed their journey expressing a mix of relief and intrigue.

KanyiDaily recalls that before their arrest, Happie Boys were recently seen in a video entertaining guests at a club in Cyprus after they refused to return back to Nigeria.
