KanyiDaily recalls that Primeboy, Naira Marley, and Sam Larry are currently in police detention over the death of Mohbad who died under controversial circumstances on September 12.
During a press conference Friday, Lagos Police Commissioner, Idowu Owohunwa announced the names of those arrested in connection with the singer’s untimely demise.
According to him, PrimeBoy attended Mohbad’s show in Ikorodu on September 10, and a fight broke out between them, resulting in the singer’s injury and subsequent death.
“At the end of the show, Mohbad and Ibrahim (Primeboy) were engaged in a violent fight during which Mohbad was injured. The management of the injury subsequently resulted in his death, he is being treated as a suspect,” he said
Reacting in an emotional video shared on social media, Primeboy’s mother addressed Nigerians passionately, asserting her son’s innocence in the tragic events surrounding Mohbad’s demise.
The suspect’s mother, who spoke in Yoruba language, said that Prime Boy and Mohbad shared a bond that went beyond friendship, having been childhood friends.
Referring to both young men as her sons, She vehemently stated that her son would never cause harm to Mohbad due to their strong and affectionate relationship.
Prime Boy’s mother also appealed to Nigerians to exercise caution and avoid passing judgment on her son. She firmly maintained his innocence, rejecting all allegations leveled against him.
