Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Mercy Eke has retracted her previous statements regarding having a rich boyfriend.

KanyiDaily recalls that during BBNaija All Stars, Mercy Eke claimed that her boyfriend offered her N120 million to discourage her from participating in the show.

However, in a recent interview with media personality, Toke Makinwa, the reality star admitted to fabricating the story of having a wealthy lover.

She clarified that she had made the false claim to discourage male housemates from pursuing relationships with her as she was not interested in being romantically involved.

Mercy Eke was quoted as saying, “There was no man. I was trying to use that to just chase the guys away. I will see one ugly guy after two days e don fine”
