I didn’t want to get married, mum pressured me – Jada Pinkett

Jada Pinkett Smith, an American actress and talk show host, has confessed that she never wanted to marry her husband, Will Smith.

In 1997, the celebrity couple married at the Cloisters Castle in Baltimore, Maryland.

However, on her talk programme, Red Table Talk, Pinkett Smith stated that she never intended to marry Smith and that her mother forced her into the marriage because she became pregnant.

“I was so upset that I had to have a wedding,” she explained. I was furious. I was in tears. I sobbed during the wedding.

“I really didn’t want to get married. I was under so much pressure being a young actress and pregnant. I didn’t know what to do. But I knew I never wanted to be married.

“The wedding was horrible. I was three-month pregnant at the wedding.”
