‘It’s deepest pain I’ve ever felt in life’ – Wizkid breaks down at mother’s funeral

On Thursday, famous Nigerian artist Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known as Wizkid, delivered an emotional address at his mother’s funeral.

In a social media video, the singer said that the agony is profound and that it aches terribly.

He characterised the pain as the most intense he had ever experienced.

“The anguish is palpable. It is excruciatingly painful. The most intense ache I’ve ever felt in my life. I’m lost, but I pray that God will console everyone of us.

“I’m lost without you Mom, I love you so much”, he said.
