KanyiDaily recalls that the Lagos State Police Command had declared Killaboi wanted on October 10th in connection with the murder of his 21-year-old girlfriend, a student of Lead City University.
Before he was declared wanted, Killaboi had confessed on social media that he “accidentally” stabbed Augusta Osedion to death during an argument in July.
Augusta was initially declared missing, and her lifeless body was later discovered in Killaboi’s residence at Oral Estate in the Ikota area of Lagos. There were also allegations of her body parts being harvested, which Killaboi vehemently denied.
Following his confessions, Killaboi fled Nigeria and continued his life in another country, until he was declared wanted for murder on October 10th.
Meanwhile, fresh reports said the suspect was arrested with some ladies at a nightclub in Freetown, Sierra Leone, on Friday night, October 20.
According to reports, Killaboi changed his name to Kanu Princeton Samuel and paid $25,000 to purchase a Sierra Leonean passport under his new nomenclature.
“After committing the act, he spent over $25,000 purchasing a Sierra Leonean passport,” Eniola Akinkuotu, a Nigerian journalist, claimed on Twitter.
“He changed his name to Kanu Princeton Samuel. His photo had been posted on social media by the girl’s family. Someone in Sierra Leone identified him.
“Mr Femi Falana was contacted and informed Lagos police which declared him wanted. He was nabbed at a night club in Free Town yesterday (Friday).
“For clarity, the $25,000 wasn’t just for the Sierra Leonan passport alone but that was what he spent on getting a new life for himself & changing identity.”
The Lagos Police spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has confirmed Killaboi’s arrest, stressing that the command has initiated the process to repatriate the suspect back to Nigeria.
KanyiDaily recalls that Killaboi recently blamed his late girlfriend’s mother, Cordelia Okonye, for her daughter’s death, claiming that he had three sextapes of Augusta Osedion with other men and that her mum knew about them.
