Mohbad: Police Arrest Naira Marley After He Returned To Nigeria

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of Nigerian singer, Naira Marley, over the death of his former signee, Mohbad.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, announced via his Twitter page on Tuesday night that Naira Marley is now in custody for questioning and investigative over Mohbad’s death.

Mr Hundeyin wrote, “Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities…”

This comes after Naira Marley announced that he has returned to Lagos and is willingly cooperating with the authorities in their ongoing investigation.

In a post shared on his Twitter page, the singer expressed his commitment to assisting in uncovering the truth and ensuring that justice prevails for Mohbad.

He wrote, “I’d like to share that I’ve just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation.

“It’s important I do my part for Imole. I’ll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail.”

This development follows the recent arrest and detention of Naira Marley’s associate, Sam Larry, over Mohbad’s death.
