Jamila Ibrahim, Ayodele Olawande, and Balarabe Lawal took their oaths of office at 12:15 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the State House.
The ceremony preceded the Federal Executive Council meeting, presided over by President Tinubu.
The Senate had on October 4 screened the ministers and confirmed their nomination by the President.
Tinubu had on September 17 nominated Ibrahim as the Minister of Youth, while Olawande was nominated as the Minister of State for Youth.
Balarabe Lawal from Kaduna State replaced the former governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, whose ministerial nomination was rejected by the Senate.
Before the FEC meeting commenced, a minute’s silence was observed in honor of the late Mobolaji Ajose-Adeogun, who had served as the Minister of the Federal Capital between 1976 and 1979 under the military regime of the late General Murtala Mohammed.
Meanwhile, Tinubu also approved the appointment of Mrs. Adebayo Benjamins-Laniyi as the Mandate Secretary for the newly established Women Affairs Secretariat of the Federal Capital Territory Administration.
Chief Press Secretary of the FCT, Anthony Ogunleya made this known in a statement in Abuja on Monday.
According to the statement, Adedayo was appointed for “her exemplary qualifications and dedication to public service.”
“With over 35 years of experience as a communications consultant, social entrepreneur, international mentor, and environmentalist, Mrs Benjamins-Laniyi brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role,” the statement said.
KanyiDaily recalls that President Bola Tinubu had also given the approval of the appointment of fresh Chief Executive officers (CEOs) for various agencies and parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.
