In a post shared on his social media page, Joro Olumofin stated that many wives are cheating because of the financial instability of their husbands and the husbands’ own unfaithfulness.
The relationship expert suggested that some women may be seeking financial stability outside of their marriages, implying that economic factors contribute to the infidelity.
He pointed out that a significant number of women are cheating in response to their husbands’ own unfaithfulness. In other words, if husbands are not faithful, their wives are increasingly likely to reciprocate rather than resort to traditional responses like crying, prayer, or fasting.
The therapist emphasized a shift in the mindset of married women, stating that the new approach is one of reciprocity – “Do me, I do you.”
This suggests a changing dynamic where wives are less likely to endure infidelity silently and are more inclined to respond in kind.
Olumofin lamented that understanding and forgiving wives are becoming rare in Nigeria, reflecting a broader shift in attitudes toward infidelity in marital relationships.
He wrote, “The rate at which married women are cheating in ”Lagos & Abuja” especially is alarming. Most wives are cheating because their husbands are broke.. but a lot because their husbands are unfaithful.
“Dear unfaithful Married men, today’s Wives won’t : (1) Cry, (2) Watch wur room, (3) or Fast and Pray. They will cheat back. The new Motto is Do me I do you. Understanding wife is now scarce in Nigeria”
