Why I was talking to cowries on reality show – BBNaija All Stars winner, Ilebaye

Ilebaye Odiniya, alias Baye, the Big Brother Naija All Stars winner, has revealed why she was communicating with cowries she smuggled into the house throughout the programme.

She claims she carries the cowries and chats to them in memory of her late brother.

The Kogi-born model said this while appearing on Pulse’s One On One, which was hosted by fellow reality star Christy O.

“There is a claim online where CeeC was saying that you had cowries that you were talking to,” the host inquired. “Could you please tell me more about it?”

“I had something precious to me,” Ilebaye said. Because, obviously, you’re expected to have something valuable when doing something you miss doing at home.

“And the cowries were in memory of my late brother.” It’s been with me and the baton. I also have a baton on him. I had no idea where to put it. Oh! I thought to myself. Allow me to hold something solid.

“It just makes me feel like he’s [my late brother] there.” He’s still here with me.”

She stated that she was unhappy when she came out and heard what CeeC said.
