In a video shared on his Twitter page, Davido emphasized the significance of authenticity and staying genuine to one’s artistic identity in the music industry.
Drawing from his own experience, Davido highlighted that despite having the option to conform to the trends in the American music scene, his calling was to return to Nigeria and represent Afrobeats culture.
The singer acknowledged that everyone has their unique path, and the crucial element for success is to stay true to one’s originality in music.
He said, “If I could give advice to aspiring musicians, just be original.
“I used to live in America. I could have stayed just done what everybody else was doing. My calling was to go back home [Nigeria] and represent the culture [Afrobeats] and eventually, it still brought me back out here. But everybody else has their own path. The most important thing is be original.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Davido recently celebrated his 31st birthday by sharing adorable photos featuring his wife, Chioma Rowland, twins, and father, Deji Adeleke.
