During a recent interview on the TALKTOB Show hosted by Biola Adebayo, Zainab Bakare shared a memorable and hurtful incident.
When asked about an unforgettable moment in her career, the actress recalled an incident where Bolanle Ninalowo refused to kiss her on set.
According to her, Ninalowo told the movie director that he couldn’t kiss her because he reserved on-screen kisses for A-list actresses.
Zainab said that this discriminatory statement left her feeling hurt but she expressed resilience, emphasizing that she has managed to move past the incident.
Despite facing discrimination, the actress said she has found strength within herself to overcome such challenges in her career.
She said, “Why would an actor look at me and tell me say I only kiss A-list? Because I say it in every interview, it really got into my body.
“Though he didn’t tell me directly, he told my Director, that he couldn’t kiss me. I can never forget it, because I say it in every interview and it keeps ringing in my head”.
KanyiDaily recalls that Bolanle Ninalowo recently stirred curiosity on social media after sharing the photo of his female colleague, Damilola Adegbite.
