KanyiDaily recalls that Davido had initially shown interest in helping the individual and had reached out to his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, for support.
However, upon discovering that the hawker initially believed to be a woman, was in fact a man in disguise, Davido announced the withdrawal of his assistance, citing a feeling of being scammed.
This decision drew disapproval from many, with some pointing out that gender should not dictate the necessity of support, especially given the individual’s challenges and the shared geographic origin with the musician, being from Osun State.
A Twitter user wrote, “Na man, does that change anything tho? He is from Osun, he is challenged and disabled, and he needs all the help he can get. He deserves a good life too! He needs help!! Unless you and your uncle are clout chasers!! The boy needs help!!”.
In his response, Davido suggested that the concerned Twitter user, who shares his surname ‘Adeleke’ and is financially capable, should step forward to assist the individual.
The singer wrote, “U get money na. Sir, ur last name nah Adeleke. Go help am”.
KanyiDaily had also reported how comedian Brain Jotter recently visited a woman who is battling skin ulcer and offered financial assistance.
