I have been receiving death threats – Mohbad’s wife reveals as she narrates how the singer died

Cynthia Omowumi Aloba, the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad’s wife, has revealed that she has received death threats since her husband’s death.

Cynthia told the Candide-Johnson Court House in Ita-Elewa, Ikorodu, that she began receiving death threats after her husband died.

She stated;

“A lot of people on ‘Tik Tok’ (a social media platform) are defaming me.” “I left my husband’s house because it is unsafe for me.”

Cynthia testified under cross-examination by Mohbad’s father’s lawyer, David Fadile, that she has a good relationship with her father-in-law, whom she describes as her best friend. She also denied having obtained a Canadian visa.

She did, however, reveal that Mohbad wanted them to relocate to Canada because he allegedly had so many “opponents” in Nigeria.

Cynthia, who has known Mohbad since she was in secondary school, recalled how he made sure he didn’t post pictures of her and their baby on social media because he wanted to protect them.

Cynthia, who denied having a fight with her late husband, revealed that Mohbad wanted to go to the hospital to be treated for the injury he sustained during his encounter with Prime Boy, but he did not because of his previous experience with NDLEA operatives and fear of Azeez Adeshina Fashola a.k.a. (Naira Marley).

She revealed that her husband suffered a cut during a fight with Prime Boy, which she was unaware of until she noticed a blood stain on the bed sheet on Monday, September 11.

She went on to say that because the nurse who was supposed to treat Mohbad wasn’t available, they had to rely on first aid and Panadol.

On Tuesday, September 12, her husband’s friend, ‘Spending,’ contacted another nurse, who administered injections to the singer’s left arm.

Cynthia, who admitted that she did not inquire about the type of injection he received because she was in the kitchen cooking, stated that she only saw the nurse attempting to insert another injection into the veins of his hand. Mohbad, on the other hand, warned her to be cautious because he had an ulcer.

During cross-examination by Falana and Falana Chamber’s Taiwo Olawanle, Cynthia stated that her late husband was first taken to Kuda hospital, which did not treat him, and then to another hospital, which pronounced him dead.

When Olumayowa Ogunsami, counsel to the deceased’s father, cross-examined her, she stated that her late husband stopped being friends with a certain Micheal a.k.a Mice after discovering he was an informant for Naira Marley. She claims her late husband discovered he was recording his conversation when he took him to a lawyer to discuss royalties owed to him by Naira Marley.

The case was postponed until November 15 for further consideration.
