I started taking drugs when I got into music industry – Rapper Phenom

Phenom, a Nigerian hip-hop artist, has described how he became addicted to illegal substances, claiming that he began using drugs after entering the music industry.

He claimed he became addicted to cannabis because it provided the inspiration for his first hit song.

The rapper stated that ingesting would motivate him to record more hit songs.

Phenom was interviewed in the most recent episode of the Terms And Conditions podcast.

He, on the other hand, stated that he no longer uses drugs.

“I wasn’t doing drugs before music,” he explained. However, I no longer use drugs. It was helping me to be more creative.

“When I first started smoking, all I did was puff. And I recall writing my first hit song the first time I smoked. As a result, I felt as if igbo [cannabis] had given me my hit song. So I kept coming back. I performed ‘Murder Dem’ with Wizkid in Igbo. They were keeping me in the studio to record because I was so high. I always went back to smoking weed because I felt it was my source of energy.

Kanyidaily recalls that Rapper Phenom regretted not accepting Wizkid’s offer to join his record label.
