“Music Money Is Like Ritual, Funds Will Keep Coming Even If I Stop Singing” – Shallipopi [Video]

Emerging singer and rapper, Crown Uzama, popularly known as Shallipopi, claims that the earnings from music is like the money made from rituals commonly known as blood money.

During a recent interview on the Zero Conditions podcast, the ‘Plutomania’ artist discussed the profitability of the music industry, emphasizing that music money is akin to the financial gains associated with ritual practices.

Shallipopi asserted that even if he were to stop singing today, he would continue to receive credit alerts in the form of royalties from his previously released songs.

Addressing the question of managing financial responsibilities amid demands from family and friends, the 23-year-old musician highlighted the abundance of returns in the music industry.

“How do you find a balance between giving to family members, saving for yourself and knowing when to draw the line?” the host asked.

In his response, Shallipopi confidently stated that he doesn’t need to balance anything because of the continuous flow of income from his music

According to him, the financial prospects in music became apparent to him this year, following the success of his hit singles.

He said; “You will never understand music money. Music money is like ritual, there’s too much money in music that you cannot understand at all. Even if you’re an artiste that came out in one month and your song is just big, no worry.

Me now, I no dey balance anything; if my family request, I dey give because I know that, the music will not stop. Even if I stop singing, the music I’ve dropped will continue giving me money”.

KanyiDaily recalls that Shallipopi recently responded to claims that he paid N9 million to acquire “fake streams” to boost his tracks on digital music rankings.
