In the viral video, Seun Kuti alleged that the man had issued death threats against him on social media, prompting him to confront the individual just as he was preparing to depart Nigeria.
The man, who identified himself as American, clarified that he had no intention of engaging with the musician and was simply heading back home to the United States.
Despite this, Seun Kuti insisted on preventing his departure, vowing not to allow airport authorities to check the man’s international passport.
“Nobody is checking your passport, you have case in this country. You are not going anywhere… You wan go home,” he said.
The American man warned Seun not to challenge him, threatening to make phone calls, but the musician stood firm, declaring that they would not leave the airport until they resolved their dispute.
In the background, someone recording the incident on their phone seemed to be attempting to support Seun, the son of the late Afrobeats legend, Fela Kuti.
KanyiDaily recalls that Ayo Makun recently addressed the criticism from Seun Kuti, who claimed that the comedian called his daughter a dog.
