Charles Okocha describes boxing bout with Portable as rigged, calls for a rematch

Nollywood actor Charles Okocha has called for a rematch after declaring his last boxing contest with Nigerian street-pop musician Portable crooked.

In a recent boxing battle on Tuesday, Charles Okocha was defeated by Portable.

The referee pronounced Portable the victor after he met the standards for the bout.

In response, Charles Okocha chastised the referee, stating that Portable removed his boxing gloves during the third round, which should have resulted in an immediate disqualification.

“How can you give up in the third round when we have four?” he wrote. “How do you take your gloves off in the third round, resulting in a total disqualification when the fight hasn’t ended?”

“You all know it was rigged, with an incompetent referee who knows nothing about boxing rules. Nevertheless, we move on. Rematch coming soon.”
