2Baba laments that the successes of young artists have reduced his status to level of an “upcoming artist”

Innocent Ujah Idibia, aka 2Baba, a veteran Nigerian singer, has remarked that the success of young artists has seemingly degraded his stature to that of a “upcoming artist.”

While congratulating the young musicians on their accomplishments, the ‘African Queen’ crooner promised to return to the spotlight this year.

2Baba hinted that new music might be released later this year.

On his Instagram page, he wrote: “Mennn! These new cats are not smiling o. I don turn to upcoming artist o. Chai!
“But as dem talk am, we no go gree for anybody this year. Na kitchen [studio] I dey lai dis.”
